Practical advice

Avoid splashing the concrete. Otherwise you could slip and lose control of the power tool.

Do not leave the power tool switched on for prolonged periods with the vibrator head outside of the concrete. Otherwise, the lifetime of the bearings may be reduced.

Do not switch the power tool on until you are ready to start working.

Adopt a secure and stable working posture. Do not lean too far forwards.

Allow the vibrator head to penetrate the material by means of its own weight. Do not immerse it by force.

Avoid overloading the motor and kinking the hose as the flexible shaft may break.

The vibration time is 10 to 20 seconds per immersion. The material is sufficiently compacted when the surface takes on a sheen and no more air bubbles emerge. Vibrating the material for too long will result in separation (of the sand, gravel and cement) and cause the material to lose its strength. You should therefore pay close attention to how work is progressing.

Immerse the vibrator head in the material at intervals of between 8 and 10 times the diameter of the vibrator head, e.g. vibrator head diameter of 25 mm = immersion interval of 25 cm, vibrator head diameter of 35 mm = immersion interval of 35 cm, etc.

When pouring successive layers of concrete, the vibrator head must be inserted 10 to 15 cm deep into the previously compacted layer underneath in order to achieve good adhesion between the layers.

Pull the vibrator head out of the material slowly with the motor running in order to prevent bubbles or dents forming in the compacted surface.

Avoid prolonged contact with formwork or reinforcements in order to prevent damage to formwork or wedging of the vibrator head between reinforcement bars. If the vibrator head becomes wedged or entangled, do not pull on the hose.

Store the power tool in a safe place. Ensure that it cannot fall over. The power tool may become damaged if this happens.

Utility Hook (see figure D)

You can use the utility hook (8) to hang the power tool from scaffolding, for example. To do this, fold out the utility hook (8).

Fold the utility hook (8) in again when you want to begin work with the power tool.
